God is always greater.

Today's reading: "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." 1 John 4:4

We must remember in all things, our struggles, our battles, our victories belong to God. It is by Him that we live or die, that we succeed or endure. Our faith in Christ is what makes us strong to get through each day. It is not faith in and of itself, but the glorified power of Jesus working in our lives reflecting His love to be a testimony to others who will soon come to believe in the Son of God. Jesus is our victory.

As we walk today in Christ, let us remember to "Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how to answer each one." Colossians 4:5-6

Jesus is the source of our hope. We trust in the promises that He has given us to live each day. Know this, that you are not alone. Nothing can truly tear you down if you are firmly planted and steadfast in Him. Jesus knows our hearts, hears our prayers, feels our pain, strengthens our resolve to get through each day on a world where we are now strangers.

In closing today, I want to reflect on Psalm 33:20-22 "Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy , O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You."

You can't go wrong with Jesus. If things are appearing to be difficult, don't give up. Don't lose heart today. Remember the source of you hope that protects you. Remember to wait upon Jesus. His timing is perfect. If at first you don't hear from Him, maybe He is just waiting for you to be still. Remember to let Him be in charge of your day, of your heart. Remember to ask that His will be done, and that He be glorified. Ask Him to help you have a heart that desires what He wants you to have. Continue to walk in the grace and knowledge of Him who has died and risen from the grave, and loves you.

My prayer today: Jesus, today all I ask is that you help me to see where you are working and join you in that work. If I need to be still first to hear your instructions in my heart, please help me to be calm and ready. In your name. Amen.
