When you make a mistake, don't be too hard on yourself

Today's Reading is from 2 Corinthians 11:9 (NKJV)  "My grace is sufficient for you, for My  strength is made perfect in weakness."

I have heard it said that one should not be afraid to make mistakes, otherwise, how can one learn anything? This is just my opinion on the matter, but I think Jesus almost expects us to make mistakes so we will better learn to walk in Him. His grace is sufficient for us. We are to grow up as His children in the knowledge of grace through humility and love. Also, note: "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God!..." (1 John 3:1a) God is our heavenly father. Through Christ, we can come boldly to him and ask anything of Him.

As a parent rears up a child (I don't have any experience here yet,) Jesus knows how we are as human beings. He knows our hearts, our dreams, our passions, how we will live, think, feel. As His children we can learn to live a godly life in Christ by studying how Jesus lived. He is our example, and He did it all with love.

Prayer:  Jesus, let me see my life the way you see it, and walk in your strength. Help me to have your peace when I make mistakes, to learn and grow in your grace. Amen.
